Cherry Brook Receives Grant To Replace Windows

New Horizons received $26,136 in grants from local companies to install new windows at Cherry Brook Health Care Center, a division of New Horizons, Inc.  The Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (CT NAA) Tax Credit Program authorized these grants. The funding received will allow Cherry Brook Health Care Center to replace drafty windows with new energy efficient ones.  These important facility improvements will result in better insulation, increased comfort for the residents and ongoing energy savings.   As Canton’s only skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, Cherry Brook provides critical care to seniors and adults with physical disabilities in the Farmington Valley.  “We would like to thank ConnectiCare, the Connecticut Natural Gas Company, and Eversource for their extremely generous contributions”, stated Carol Fitzgerald, CEO of New Horizons.  “The pandemic has created many challenges for nonprofit organizations and I commend these companies for their commitment to giving back to the local community during this difficult time.”  A full listing of the projects supported by the CT NAA Tax Credit program can be found at https://portal.ct.gov/DRS/Credit-Programs
